Elementary & Middle School

Students must be five years old by October 1 for entrance into Kindergarten and six years old by October 1 for entrance into 1st grade.

1. All prospective kindergartners and first graders will be tested to prevent school failure through early identification of developmental learning deficiencies that would adversely affect their school performance.

2. Transfer students will undergo testing prior to their admittance.

3. Exceptions to the above guidelines will be rare. Requests for exceptions will be given serious individual consideration by the Administration. Please be advised that the birth date requirement for entrance to The Bythiah Academy's Elementary is that, a child must reach the birth date for Kindergarten and First Grade by October 1st. This cut off date will be absolute with respect to Kindergarten and First Grade. He or she must be five years old by October 1st for entrance into Kindergarten and six years old by October 1st for entrance into First Grade.
